When a new email message is received on the BlackBerry smartphone, the red LED indicator will blink for approximately 15 minutes and ceases.
The new email message that has arrived will sound off in accordance to what has been selected and set in the Sounds application.
If the new email message is left unread (not entering the Messages icon within the home screen), and then after 15 minutes of blinking, the red LED indicator will eventually stop.
Note: This is an expected behavior and cannot be altered.
